2. Lattice Boom Cranes – Configuration & Strategy

You’ll learn how to properly assess:

Boom configurations & rod plans
Superlift strategy
Erection charts & mobilisation
Hookblocks & reeving
Track pressure and load distribution

So when you’re reviewing a plan, you actually understand what you’re looking at.

3. Ground Loading & Wind Calculations

You’ll be able to:

Calculate allowable wind speed based on surface area and load weight
Determine ground bearing pressure for tracked, outrigger and wheeled machines

4. Assess Complex Lift Scenarios

We cover the lifts that carry higher risk:

Multi-crane lifts to AS 2550.1
Demolition lifts
Personnel (manbox) lifts
Land-based cranes on floating vessels
